- What does it cost?
- Fifteen days free, with no card and no payment details. After that a full account is €10 a year, tax included, and it renews each year until you cancel — cancelling keeps your access until the year you paid for runs out. If you never pay, nothing is ever charged: your collection simply becomes read-only, and you can still export or delete it.
- Does it work where I live?
- Yes. Setup asks for your country and then either your postal code or, where your country does not use them, your town or city. Matching compares broad areas and the travel limit you both chose, so it works the same everywhere. What it cannot invent is another collector near you — so the collections that fill up first are the ones people join.
- Who is the account for?
- The cards belong to the kids. The account belongs to you: you sign up, you keep the want and double lists, and you do the talking with the other parent. That also means the account holder is 18 or over. Children never sign in, never chat, and never appear to another collector.
- What do you store about me?
- Your email, your username, the cards on your lists, and a broad area derived from the postal code or city you gave — that answer is thrown away once it has produced a locality and a coarse area. Another collector never sees your address, your exact distance, or your contact details. Those are revealed field by field, and only after you both approve the same swap.
- Why not just use a Facebook group?
- A group shows everything to everyone and leaves the matching to you. Swapcard compares two lists and surfaces only trades that work in both directions, keeps both names pseudonymous until you agree, and lets you hand over a phone number or an address one field at a time — or revoke it later.
